I hope this finds you well. Our team has been working diligently to ensure an effective learning plan is in place to meet the needs of all of our learners. There is a specific process outlined by the state of Michigan that we must follow in order to gain approval of our plan through Wayne RESA, our intermediate school district. It has been a work in progress and we are close to being ready for implementation of continuing our learning outside of what many teachers have already been providing students with.
You will be contacted directly by your child’s teacher to check in and determine which mode of delivery will best suit the needs of your family. We are looking forward to working closely as your educational partner in the coming months to ensure students are successful during this time.
Please read below for updates and answers to questions you might have. We miss all of our student and families. If you have not had the chance, check out our photo message here. As always, reach out to me directly with any questions.
At this time, we are not allowing families into the building to gather belongings that may be in desks and lockers. The process for this will be determined after the Governor’s stay at home order which has now been extended through April, is lifted. I can assure you that your child will be able to access the building when it is safe to gather materials left behind. We will communicate this information to you when we have a plan in place.
In addition, we are also working with Lifetouch to determine the process for distributing pictures and yearbooks. We will communicate this information to you as well when we have it. It seems likely that these will be distributed when lockers are cleaned out.
