I can’t believe that it is almost June! I am happy that the weather has seemed to turn the corner and more sunshine is on the way. I hope that you and your family are able to get outside daily for fresh air and sunshine.
Please remember that next week we will have our school open for you to pick up student belongings. More information can be found below, including the pick-up schedule and information regarding the summer giveaway we will have available. If you have school materials at home, please return them at this time. We look forward to seeing you!
I have received questions about yearbooks and spring pictures. We are working closely with Lifetouch to get an update on where things stand. At this time yearbooks are not completed so we are weighing our options on whether to issue refunds or mail these out in the summer months when they are available. As soon as I have an answer for you, I will provide you with an update. I am hopeful spring pictures will be available beginning next week.
As always, please reach out to me directly with any questions you may have.

Retrieving Student Belongings
The school will be open next week on June 2nd and 4th, as well as the following week so that you can collect student belongings. Below, you will find a schedule of when you will be able to access the building for pick-up. We have created the schedule based on last name. Follow the link to access the times and dates that the building will be open to pick up your child’s belongings. We ask that you adhere to the schedule so that we can maintain social distancing in the building. Please enter through the front door. The main hallway will have all materials organized by class and student name. Staff will be onsite to help direct you to your child’s belongings. If your child has medication in the office, you will be able to retrieve that at this time.
When you pick up your student’s belongings, we are asking that you return all school materials your child may have at home. We are looking to collect library books, instruments, textbooks or anything else your child has in their possession. It is important that we get these items back so we can use them with your child in the fall at his or her new middle school. Thank you for helping us with this!
The Great Summer Book Giveaway!
When you are in the building to pick-up your child’s belongings, we invite you to bring your student with you. He or she will have the opportunity to pack a backpack with books to take and have to read this summer. These books will his or hers to keep!

Additionally, there are seven late start elementary schools (Edison, Graham, Hamilton, Hicks, Taft, Walker, and Wildwood). Their start/end times will be altered by 10 minutes. The new hours will be 9:10 am- 4 pm.
